Expanding our EPS repair revolution, Plews & Edelmann® introduces couplings for column assist and pinion assist systems. These compact rubber components efficiently transfer power from the motor to the steering mechanism, offering a targeted solution for specific EPS designs. Like our belt kits, couplings provide a cost-effective, easy-to-install alternative to full component replacement.
The torque sensor is one of the most critical components in an electric power steering system. Mounted along the steering shaft and spanning a small torsion bar, it continuously measures how much force you are applying to the steering wheel and in which direction — feeding that data to the EPS control module to deliver precise, responsive assist. When a torque sensor fails, drivers often experience uneven steering effort, an intermittent EPS warning light, or a complete loss of power assist. Plews & Edelmann® now offers direct OEM-replacement torque sensors as a cost-effective, targeted fix that avoids unnecessary full rack replacement. Built to the latest OEM design standards, each sensor includes all required mounting hardware, accurate alignment marks, and where applicable, installation tools — backed by U.S.-based A.S.E. Certified Technical Support.
